The Everglades is an enormous wetland that is fed by water from Lake Okeechobee. This fragile ecosystem is listed as a World Heritage Site and it is an International Biosphere Reserve. The park is home to manatees, American crocodiles, a huge number of birds, and even panthers. Everglades National Park is the third largest park in the lower 48 states, after Death Valley and Yellowstone.
